In the lower right corner of the painting, the white number 551 is visible—this corresponds to the number under which the portrait was recorded in an 1809 inventory of paintings from the estate of Stanisław August, housed in the Copper-Roof Palace. In 1814, the work was purchased by Michał Hieronim Radziwiłł for the Nieborów Palace.
The portrait is currently on long-term loan to the Royal Castle in Warsaw. |
